WEEK OF October 14- October 18
Did you know something as simple as an old mascara wand can help wildlife?
6th Grade Buford Middle School Students are collecting old Mascara wands to send to the Appalachian Wildlife Refuge in Skyland, North Carolina.
They use mascara brushes to help remove fly eggs and larva from the fur of animals. They work great because the bristles are so close together!
Do you have old mascara just lying around in a drawer? Know a makeup artist?
Clean off those old wands in hot soapy water and send them in with your student so we can send in to be put to good use!
We are reducing and reusing to help the environment.

6th Grade Parents:
As you are taking your child in for doctor's appointments for well checks this school year and over next summer, please keep in mind that there are two immunizations mandated by the State of Georgia that all 7th graders must have before starting 7th grade. The immunizations required are the Tdap and MCV4. We like to make you aware of this as soon as possible so that they are ready for 7th grade next year!! If you have any questions, please call the school and ask to speak to Cherie Durden, RN, School Nurse. Please turn in any update immunization forms to the front office. Thank you!
